ABOUT ME
TIGER
Here's a little bit about my background. I was a home health care nurse for PWA's (people with AIDS) in the 90’s and can offer health care if you're recovering from any kind of dental work, plastic surgery, etc. I'm an animal lover and have 3 dogs. I consider myself a happy and upbeat person. I love people, but enjoy my alone time as well. I'm a retired personal trainer with 25 years experience, I was also a licensed massage therapist. These days I'm an artist who works mostly in polymer and clay. I have a kiln in my art studio. In addition I enjoy jewelry making and sculpture. I'm also a gardener and cook.
I'm one of those animal loving, earth loving, people loving liberals. I like people who are kind to the earth, tolerant of all races, religions and sexual preferences. Occasionally I travel or go to the beach and you may have the place to yourselves. If I'm traveling nearby you may be invited to split costs and come along. If you stay you may be asked to feed my dogs in exchange for a discounted room rate. They're really friendly, if you like animals at all, you'll probably like mine. If you don't like animals, or are allergic, or are otherwise occupied I understand and I'll be happy to make other arrangements for their care while I'm away.
Some people want to know why I'm called 'Tiger'. When I lived in Alaska I did a short stint as a dancer. My stage name was Tiger. When I moved to Japan I kept the same stage name and after almost 20 years of living in Japan I just got used to it. That’s it. You may call me Jilla (G-la) if you prefer, I don’t really have a preference. Tiger is just easy to pronounce and remember.
What I offer
Here’s a bit more about what I have to offer:
I can prepare meals for vegans, vegetarians, pescatarians, KETO, no carbs, no gluten, no pork, no dairy or people who need a soft food diet with things like vichyssoise, gazpacho, creamed vegetable soups, bone broths, fresh fruit smoothies, fresh lemonade with home grown mint leaves, home made pasta with pesto or basically anything anyone wants.
I can cook some variation of many Japanese foods, Italian foods, Thai foods, Indian foods, Chinese Foods any American foods and some Korean dishes. I buy all organic veggies and fruits weekly and make my own homemade nut butters, pickles, Kim chi, pickled beets and yogurt.
I serve healthy meals for people who would like to lose weight and am happy to take people hiking and/or do weight training or yoga.
I provide hair dryers, clean towels and linens and a TV in each room with remote control as well as an Amazon Fire Stick so people can watch Netflix or Amazon Prime.
I’m also willing to take people to the various farmers markets and around town to see the sights if they’ll pay for gas and parking fees. I can take them to the movies, the museums, local restaurants etc.
If I like you I’ll be friendly but if you’re a self entitled ass I’ll just do what I have to to keep you comfortable but not spend hours babysitting you. You know how it goes.
Some people I just want to do things for, but others...not so much. As long as people like animals I generally like them, but I’ll be honest, I’m very liberal and don’t usually get along with racist, homophobic or extremely conservative people.
I’m willing to keep politics out of the equation if you are. I guess that’s about all for now. Please don’t hesitate to ask me anything you’d like to know about me or my home. I’m an open book and am not shy.
If you really want to know more about me; here's an interview I did in 2016.
